Commissioning

Having a piece of bespoke furniture (whether for your home, garden or business) designed and made exclusively for you is straightforward, enjoyable and satisfying. The cost of a bespoke piece of furniture is less than many people think and considering it will accommodate all the client’s requirements it represents excellent value for money.

The usual commissioning process begins with an informal discussion either at my workshop, where you can see what is currently being made, or at your home or business, wherever the piece is to be sited.

The specific requirements such as the purpose of the piece, dimensions, surroundings, budget, time scale, etc along with any thoughts or wishes you may have about the piece will be discussed.

From this meeting drawings (scale models and even full sized mock-ups) are produced to meet your requirements.

When a final design is drawn up, a price agreed and deposit paid (usually 50%) you will be kept informed and encouraged to visit the work in progress.

If you do not decide to proceed with the project there is no charge for the design service.
